    Event Description:

    1st Day Hike with the Friends of Mirror Lake State Park. 2025 marks the 125th Anniversary of the Wisconsin State Park System. Join us to kick off the year-long celebration at Mirror Lake State Park, E10320 Fern Dell Rd, Baraboo, with a First Day Hike.
     
    A brief 125th Anniversary program will start at approximately 11 a.m., followed by a guided 1.5-mile First Day Hike on the Echo Rock and Cliffwood Coulee trails. Refreshments will be available, and there will be a fire going to keep you warm. This event offers visitors an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenated and connected with nature while celebrating 125 years of the Wisconsin State Park System.
     
    Meet at the Boat Launch Parking Lot. A vault toilet (non-flush) is available at the Boat Launch Parking Lot. The hike is suitable for people of all abilities and is great for everyone to participate in. Echo Rock Trail is a 0.3 mile universally accessible paved trail that goes up to scenic overlook. You will have the option to turn around at the overlook or continue onto the Cliffwood Coulee Trail for a longer hike (approximately 1.5 miles total). Please dress for the weather conditions, and we ask that you leave your dogs at home for the hike.
     
    A Wisconsin state park and forest vehicle admission pass is required for this event. Save time and purchase your pass online. Vehicle admission passes may also be purchased on the day of the event at the park office or electronic kiosk.
