Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance Documentary and Q&A at the Reedsburg Library, 370 Vine Street. If you are curious about what is happening with the land associated with the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant, now is your chance to find out! On Wednesday, January 17, Grace Vosen, Executive Director of the Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance will give a presentation at 6:00 p.m. in Reedsburg Public Library’s Community Room.
Vosen has been involved with the group for the past ten years and specializes in communications, botany and prairie restorations. In her presentation, Vosen will show two short films covering the general history of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant as well as the re-use process after it was decommissioned. Today, the land is divided among landowners including the Ho-Chunk Nation, the USDA Dairy Forage Research Center and the Sauk Prairie Recreation Area. The Alliance facilitates cooperation between the owners and a number of land restoration projects. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
