Friends of Mirror Lake State Park invite you to Shakespeare in the State Park in the outdoor amphitheater. What's all this much ado about? Before performing the play, the Summit Players take you through the characters, plot and themes of one of Shakespeare's most famous comedies, Much Ado About Nothing. Join us to play games, act out characters and learn how Shakespeare's time is similar to our time in this interactive, all-ages workshop. Fun for the whole family.
This play is about how two couples find their romance interrupted by revenge plotting, mistaken identities and merry madness in this fast-paced adaptation of Shakespeare's classic comedy. Six actors assume the roles of heartfelt Hero and Claudio, witty Beatrice and Benedick, brave Don Pedro, wise Leonato, villainous Don John and a host of other colorful characters.
