The Friends of Devil's Lake State Park invite you to Universe in the Park! Universe in the Park includes a RAIN OR SHINE presentation on astronomy, including recent astronomical news, and a weather-dependent star party, where visitors have the opportunity to view available astronomical objects through a telescope.
UitP is a program of the Department of Astronomy and UW Space Place. Speaker Estephani TorresVillanueva is a fourth-year astronomy graduate student at UW-Madison. Her interests broadly encompass the planet formation process along with the evolution of chemical abundances within planet forming regions much like our early solar system. Her current work involves studying the properties young planet forming systems to estimate the quantities of carbon and oxygen embedded within these young extrasolar systems.
